As they followed the star to the manger, the Wise Men carried gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. These gifts were provided as a way to show honor to Jesus. While many people will spend time filling stockings and packing gifts, they may also be carrying heavy loads of guilt, anger, worry and fear. Jesus said, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28; ESV).” The greatest gift we can give to God is our life. It may take laying our burdens before the Savior to give God our full attention.

Thanks for your interest in Mullen Memorial Church. I count it a privilege to serve at Mullen Memorial Baptist Church and to be part of the Belpre community. Our desire is that Mullen Memorial would be a place where people experience the transforming power of God's presence. We pray that through our experience people will be drawn to God. When I came to this church in January of 2015, I told this church that I was not a chaplain, but a leader. I want to get this church from Point A to Point B. If you are tired of going through the motions of church or life and don't feel like you are living out your God-given purpose, then Mullen Memorial is the place for you. We hope to see you soon!
