The relationship between God the Father and God the Son provides an example of a unified family. Out of this relationship we were created, however sin has separated our relationship with God, and the relationship we share with one another. Throughout Ephesians 2 the Apostle Paul contrasts the hostility created by our sin with the peace that God offers through salvation. Unfortunately, this hostility describes the relationships that many families face today. If this hostility is not dissolved by the peace of God, then it can tear families apart. Thankfully God’s love for us did not stop with our sin. Instead, God sent the Son to die for our sins. This act of love provides restoration for our relationship with God and others. It also gives a new foundation to build our lives and relationships on. As the “household of God”, our church can serve to be a place where families learn and grow together.

Thanks for your interest in Mullen Memorial Church. I count it a privilege to serve at Mullen Memorial Baptist Church and to be part of the Belpre community. Our desire is that Mullen Memorial would be a place where people experience the transforming power of God's presence. We pray that through our experience people will be drawn to God. When I came to this church in January of 2015, I told this church that I was not a chaplain, but a leader. I want to get this church from Point A to Point B. If you are tired of going through the motions of church or life and don't feel like you are living out your God-given purpose, then Mullen Memorial is the place for you. We hope to see you soon!
